Daniel J. McCann, Esq., is the President of the Cape May County Bar Association, where he leads efforts to strengthen the local legal community and serve the public. In addition to his leadership role, Mr. McCann is the founder of Daniel J. McCann, L.L.C., which he established in 2014. His deep understanding of real estate transactions and property law—spanning residential, commercial, and corporate matters—enables him to provide comprehensive and effective legal services.
Mr. McCann serves as General Counsel for a major corporation and owner of a successful boutique law firm. His professionalism and legal expertise have earned him multiple accolades, including the inaugural 'Gibson & Batten Spirit of the Community Award' for outstanding community service and the 'Young Lawyer of the Year Award' from the Cape May County Bar Association.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. McCann served as an Adjunct Professor at Saint Joseph's University, where he created and taught a Law and Economics course. He is also a sought-after guest speaker at Realtor Associations, Real Estate Schools, title insurance seminars, and legal education forums.
A dedicated community leader, Mr. McCann actively contributes to local initiatives, further enhancing the Cape May County Bar Association's impact. Outside of law, he is an accomplished marathon runner and former collegiate rower. As a member of the Seven Continents Club, he has completed marathons on all seven continents, raising funds for charitable causes along the way. Notably, he participated in the Rock the Boat for Autism expedition, completing a 1,500-mile journey from Boca Raton, Florida to Sea Isle City, New Jersey, to raise awareness and funds for autism.
